Rockin’ the New Year!

Wishing you abundant blessings in 2013!

As the clock counted down to 2013, I was bursting with joy as I hugged my sweet munchkins and ushered in a new year surrounded by love & merriment!

I always embrace the new year with a sense of expectancy….a clean slate. The dark moments of Q4 were left behind with a toast to new possibilities ahead.

Some dear friends gave us a beautiful gift of a week away after Christmas, in their gorgeous home in San Diego.  It has been exactly what the doctors ordered “Take a break from all this medical stuff and just relax”.  And relaaaax we have!  Wonderful food, amazing friends, incredible healing treatments and fabulous times connecting with each other.

I have used this gift for some much needed downtime and introspection.  As I journalled through the Year End Review and Envisioning exercise I assign to my clients every year, it was powerful for me to to take the time to see the gifts and learnings that have resulted from a year of tremendous challenges.  I realized how my metamorphosis has deepened as I cocooned into a new chrysalis period.  Many transformations occurring.  How I love, how I live, how I express.  My awareness, my connections, my surrender.

And I choose to take with me many of those deep learnings into 2013.

  1. The power of connection
  2. To love deeply
  3. Congruence is King
  4. Find balance – focus on what’s truly important
  5. Carpe Diem! in all I do

I meditated on the upcoming year and made a choice to see our cancer journey with the image of a powerful Vision Quest.  As in native traditions, this rite of passage is oft a challenging one but results in profound insights and higher spiritual wisdom.  That feels so much more empowering to me than some of the more limited viewpoints we are being offered.

I have chosen my Theme for 2013 as Faith.   “Faith not Fear” is my mantra.

So from my family to yours, I wish you a year rich with the blessing of abundance, joy, peace, health and love.  Unpack each day as a brilliant new package of possibilities and live it to the fullest!

Happy Carpe Diem New Year!

  4. Diana Izzotti says:

‘Congruence: Carl Rogers stated that the personality is like a triangle made up of the real self, the perceived self, and ideal self. According to Rogers, when there is a good fit between all three components, the person has congruence. This is a healthy state of being and helps people continue to progress toward self-actualization.’
Here’s to a healthy state of being for all three of you!
You are a shining example of living, loving and learning.
Have a blessed year, love Diana and crew. xxx

And yet even lamps need tending. Know that countless souls surround you and infuse you, too, with their light as well.

    Love and blessings,
    ~Lonnie

  6. Shannon, Kayla and Tyler,
Your words are truly inspiring. Here is a New Years Prayer for you:
A new year is unfolding—like a blossom with petals curled tightly concealing the beauty within.
Lord, let this year be filled with the things that are truly good—with the comfort of warmth in our relationships, with the strength to help those who need our help and the humility and openness to accept help from others.
As we make our resolutions for the year ahead, let us go forward with great hope that all things can be possible—with Your help and guidance.
    Amen.
